The concept was for a new family farmhouse on an existing working farm.
The building was located to form a vista with the existing farm buildings to enable supervision of the farm. The main two-storey wing contains the living room, large kitchen-diner and entrance hall on the ground floor with three bedrooms and an ensuite and bathroom on the first floor. The single storey wing accommodates the utility, study and play room and also enables the building form to shelter the garden space. The house incorporates a ground source heat pump and thin joint masonry construction.
